Macy Michelle

When photographing young children, it is a great idea to schedule a session within the first two weeks, at 3 months, at 6 months, at 9 months, and at their first birthday. Children grow and change so quickly. Photographing them at these times allow you to catch them as precious newborns, attentive infants, chubby babies learning to sit, wobbly on legs just learning to stand, and on the brink toddlerdom.

This is Macy's second session. She is three months old now and such a happy baby.

Here are a few shots from Macy's first session. Hasn't she grown!

Moon Family in Black and White

I was just working on images from a fun photography session we had on Tuesday evening. Such a cute family! I am loving this series in black and white. What do you think?

Brasel Family Lake Reunion

This weekend it was time once again for the Brasel clan to congregate at the lake and spend a relaxing weekend with family. A big thank you to Jerry and Doris for all they do and to Cole, Ashley, Chris, and Grace for the "piratey" games and laughs. Arrg.

Hope to see everyone soon.

Alexis at 15 months

Our little darling is climbing like she's a monkey, running (in her own cute way), starting to speak is sentences, and cutting four new teeth.

Playing in the rain

Enjoying a recent summer shower. Can't wait until our new driveway is finished, but until then, it makes a great puddle!

Julie and Jeremy

Congratulation to Julie and Jeremy. They are the winners of our bridal show prize, an engagement session and a signature album. We went and hiked at Lost Valley for their engagement shoot. We had so much fun despite the heat and the two-drip waterfall! They're getting married in September and are planning a wonderfully unique wedding. Best wishes!

The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly

Last week was not boring, to say the least.

The Good: We (the Fosters, my parents, my grandma, and my brother) spent a fun-filled weekend together in Eureka Springs to celebrate my parents' 50th birthdays. While most of our time was spent hanging out, we did manage to tour the Holy Land at The Great Passion Play. We did not see the play this time, but I would like to go back and see it soon--when it's not so hot! Jamison and I took Alexis, who is a huge animal fan, to Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge. She was so cute going around and "meowing" at the huge cats. The mountain lions looked at her like she was a tasty snack and stalked her relentlessly. I've put together a small 5x7 brag book, that we normally offer with our lifestyle sessions, of the animals for Alexis. I'll let you know how she likes it.

The Bad: I was in Jasper visiting with a friend at the park. When we were leaving, I was driving behind a police vehicle. He stopped to drop off another man at his vehicle then proceeded to back over my car. Thankfully, the only one hurt was my car. You've got to love those old-time metal bumpers. That truck didn't have a scratch while they considered totaling my little, I owned it since it had 6 miles on it, car. The worst part of the whole experience has been the endless hours on the telephone with the repair shop, insurance company, and rental car company. Which leads me to. . .

The Ugly: Yep, my rental car. Need I say more.
